Common Redpoll Heaven

I love Redpolls -- they're so cute and they always seem happy. When I got home this afternoon, the hugest flock I've ever seen in my life was swarming around my feeders like bees. There had to have been over a hundred. If they stay, they're going to eat more seed in a day than I've fed all winter. Not that I'm complaining... though my husband might!

Another Snow Day

Not that I'm excited or anything! But it's SO nice to go back to bed and not having to deal with nasty roads in the dark. I didn't get up until ten o'clock, which is late for me, but I've been a bit sleep deprived lately.

Among other things, my poor dog had a seizure last week. After $120 worth of tests yesterday, the conclusion is that my dog had a seizure. Nothing seems to be wrong, which is wonderful. We're all hoping it was an isolated event and not the beginning of a pattern.

At any rate, I'm enjoying my day off by getting caught up on a lot of stuff besides sleep and plan to spend the rest of the day writing!

Here are some pretty ice photos I took last weekend:

As you can tell, we didn't have much snow on the ground. All that is changing now. Eighteen inches by tomorrow! Urg.

Interview at The Boys on the Brink Blog

Recently, Silent One was reviewed by Jamie Deacon from Rainbow Book Reviews (see link on the side). Shortly after that, he contacted me and asked for an interview, which I was happy to give. That interview, along with a book give-a-way contest, is now up on his own blog, The Boys on the Brink Blog.

Exciting times!
